Currently you are able to trade in two very important ways:

1. Meeting someone and doing the normal, "Hey, let's swap items."
2. You will be able to trade in your Guild Store. This is a really big thing for us, and part of the reason we allow people to join multiple guilds. We think this is pretty exciting and we'll have more details on the full system later.

Joining multiple guilds (another form of social networking) and the Guild Store, which hasn't been done. I think the only other trading methods I've seen in MMO's is vendors and  auction houses.   

I can also see the Guild Store(s) having unique pricing, as you can low-ball an item when choosing which one of your favorite guilds has the cheapest items.  That is another thing to keep in mind when selling- don't sell your items for too much, when trading through a guild bank.
